The Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission, launched in December 2022, is transforming our understanding of the ocean with its wide-swath, high-resolution radar interferometric altimetry. Now with more than two years of global observations, SWOT has enabled major breakthroughs in ocean dynamics and solid earth, capturing small-scale eddies, internal waves, and the fine structure of seafloor tectonics. This session invites presentations on scientific advances using SWOT data across disciplines, including but not limited to, physical oceanography, marine geophysics, cryosphere, deltas and estuaries. Contributions on novel analysis techniques and integrative approaches that combine SWOT with other datasets are also welcome.
