A sustainable, efficient, scalable, and innovative Blue Economy requires monetary, infrastructure and human capital investment to fully realize the impact of the Blue Economy across all sectors. This investment requires collaboration through public-private partnerships, which are increasingly becoming central to the exploration of the ocean and accelerating the new Blue Economy, with data and applications of data at its core. The goal of this session is to facilitate discussions about innovation, financial vehicles, supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses developing ocean-focused solutions, and the preparation of the wide-ranging workforce needed to support the entire enterprise. Please join the session for presentations and conversations meant to provide a deeper understanding of the new Blue Economy (Ocean Enterprise) and the mechanisms available to assist academics, entrepreneurs, and the broader ocean community seeking funding and developing public-private partnerships to address critical initiatives needed for sustainable ocean stewardship.
