As the scale and complexity of geophysical and environmental data continue to grow, innovative approaches to data representation are more essential than ever. Visualization and sonification—harnessing the power of both human visual and auditory perception—have proven to be powerful tools for interpreting and communicating complex processes in the Earth sciences. These methods not only support scientific discovery but also create immersive experiences at the intersection of art and science, enhancing accessibility and engagement with broader audiences. This session will spotlight emerging techniques and applications in the use of sound, imagery and video to explore, interpret, and share data in Earth sciences. We seek to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and inspire new collaborations that push the boundaries of how we perceive and understand the Earth and other planetary bodies. Join us in exploring the next frontier of data interaction in the Earth sciences.
