Energy is and always has been the foundation for opportunity and improved quality of living for global society. We stand at a profound moment in history, when we change how energy is captured, stored, and distributed from its primary sources – the sun and the Earth. We are excited to embrace new technology that captures energy efficiently and affordably using photovoltaics and simple heat transfer. Primary energy resources are effectively infinite in quantity, and the mechanisms to capture and deliver power are limited only by our ability to create, manipulate, and improve resilient and reusable materials from aluminum to zinc. This session explores the science that connects energy materials - derived from batteries, solar panels, windmills, and other waste sources - to the circular supply chain and thereby bypass primary extraction in an efficient and economic manner.
